The Perceptual Intelligence™ Training Process

It starts by understanding the two phases of the transformation process, the intensive phase and the extensive phase.

Phase 1: Intensive Transformation

Duration: One Month

In this one-month phase of learning transformation, participants get an initial literacy of the principles and practices of perceptual intelligence, and start putting them to work right away. The breakthrough is immediate, changes happen instantly.

Phase 2: Extensive Transformation

Duration: One Year

In this one-year phase of learning transformation, participants get several methods of extensive reinforcement and application, moving beyond literacy into mastery of the material and application of perceptual intelligence to solve key business problems. 

Step 1: Kickoff Event

Before the Intensive Transformation begins, we lead a kickoff event with the training group to explain how the training process works, what it will do for them, and what it will do for the work team. Prior to and during the event, participants identify several strategic ways to reap measurable benefits from Perceptual IntelligenceTM Training.

Step 2: Intensive Training

After the kickoff event, participants begin the intensive transformation phase as a combination of live on-site training, intact team discussions, self-study, and conference calls with our certified coaches and trainers. The goal of this one-month process is to understand the core concepts of Perceptual IntelligenceTM and develop a solid strategy for solving business problems within their own group and for the departments they lead.

Step 3: Extensive Training

The first month is just the beginning because that’s the nature of learning. It takes consistent effort to grow, solve business problems, get results. Yes, there’s tremendous immediate results in the first three days of training itself, but those immediate results don’t compare to the greater results from extensive learning and application.

For example, ever been at a training and heard how it was done, watched how it was done, went back to work, went to do it, and realized, I don’t know how it’s done? That’s the learning process. We get introduced to ideas, maybe we believe we can put them to work, but when the actual process of doing it starts, we realize, we need help.

So, when the intensive phase of learning and initial literacy is done, each group starts a one-year process of cementing in and applying the training to solve specific business problems in real time.

Since each participant has a one-year enrollment in the digital course, they begin a slow, steady self-learning process, on a pace of about one lesson per week. Teams get together in 1-hour and 2-hour internal seminars, watching specific digital course lessons together, again with the idea of putting them to work, pushing to mastery of the material and solving specific business problems.

We suggest each participant learn at a pace of at least one lesson per week and discuss insights for fifteen to thirty minutes in weekly team meetings. We ask leaders to use our network of consultants and coaches to work weekly with individuals and teams, live and by phone, in group meetings and one-on-one, to reinforce the learning.

It’s a custom-tailored approach to extend the transforming power of Perceptual IntelligenceTM into every part of an organization’s culture.

Step 4: Repeat from Team to Team

Once a department or an executive team has started the process, we recommend other departments and teams start the same process. The goal is to create a critical mass of application within an organization that eventually transforms the culture.
